People often ask us what the difference is between joining a business incubator/accelerator vs. utilizing a virtual or shared office space? The differences are huge!
A virtual office is usually just an address for you to use for your business, and a place to send your mail.
A shared office can be more formal- some office equipment, a few desks, access to phones, for example.
New Private desk space is a way to have your personal desk, but still be part of the group.
An incubator involves a group of entrepreneurs, each of whom seeks to fast-track his/her/their start-up business, while an accelerator is for small businesses who are really looking to network and expand their businesses.
The group shares space/services/training costs and inter-entrepreneurial synergy. They also have access to our Conference Facilities.
Our current incubatees/accelerators include a few of the tech types you’d expect, but also includes a business who shepherds landlords and business owners through their paperwork with the DC Government, a wedding officiant, and a flower shop!
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please get in touch and tell us a little about the type of business you’re launching, and how this opportunity might help you to grow your business. We look forward to hearing from you!
